Ultraviolet light in the C spectrum (UV-C) is a high-energy light with a wavelength of 200-400 nanometers. It works by killing microorganisms and destroying their DNA so that they can no longer reproduce. The UV-C light neutralizes all harmful bacteria, making the water drinkable.

Two cleaning modes

Fill the bottle with water. Screw on the lid and press it to start purifying your water. The bottle has two modes, Normal and Adventure. Press the button once for normal or twice for adventure mode. Normal mode is indicated by a sky blue light, Adventure mode is indicated by a pulsating blue light. You should shake the bottle slightly during the cleaning cycle so that the UV light can spread evenly throughout the water.

Additional cleaning power

The bottle also cleans itself every 2 hours, running a 10-second cycle to intelligently clean every crevice in your bottle. You can turn off this feature when you need to store your water bottle by pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds. This activates the Travel Lock and prevents your bottle from cleaning itself until it is turned back on.

No filter replacement required

There are no consumables in the bottle as UVC LED technology does not require filter replacement. The bottle cap is charged and one charge then lasts up to 2 months.

Also suitable for drinks other than water

The LARQ Bottle is designed as a self-cleaning bottle for water. If sugary drinks or coffee are added, the bottle should be hand washed afterwards.

Suitable for daily use and camping

The LARQ Bottle is designed for everyday use and camping. There is an “Adventure Mode” to give the UVC LEDs additional power when traveling abroad or in the hinterland.
