The “EXOFIELD” theater headphone system developed by JVC produces a multi-channel sound image that appears out-of-head as if in a room. This means you can experience the full effect of multi-channel effects via headphones.
Realistic multi-channel sound field (7.1.4)
In addition to 2-channel stereo, the XP-EXT1 system reproduces 7.1.4-channel multi-channel sound. You can enjoy audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which are used in the latest films and series. For a realistic sound field comparable to listening to a multi-channel speaker system.
7.1.4 Surround sound for stereo or 5.1 material
In addition to multi-channel playback of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X material, the EXOFIELD Theater System also supports up-mixing of stereo or 5.1 signal sources, ensuring a fascinating all-round sound experience via headphones.
Measuring your personal hearing characteristics
Before the Exofield Theater system is ready for use, the physiognomy of the respective user's ears is recorded once using the microphones integrated in the headphones and a smartphone app (iOS/Android). The measurement result is compared with a central database, the optimal algorithm is selected from the data sets stored here and transferred to the processor. In addition, sound settings can also be made using the equalizer function of the app on the smartphone.
Powerful sound and high wearing comfort
The comfortable, large-diameter earcups have powerful 40 mm neodymium driver units that ensure dynamic sound and an extremely realistic sound image. Comfortable ear cushions provide excellent shielding and ensure a high level of comfort even over long periods of use.
Digital sound processor
The EXOFIELD Theater System XP-EXT1 consists of comfortable on-ear headphones and the digital processing unit, which are wirelessly connected to each other via a 5 GHz network. The three HDMI inputs on the processor unit can be connected to different players such as Blu-ray players, satellite receivers or streaming boxes. TVs or projectors are connected to the HDMI output. To optimally adapt to your personal listening taste, three preset sound modes (CINEMA/MUSIC/GAME) or the individually adjustable “CUSTOM” setting can be selected.
