Deuter
The Deuter company was founded in 1898 by Hans Deuter as a "mechanical canvas and linen weaving mill" in Augsburg-Oberhausen and has undergone constant change since then. Today, Deuter is known as one of the most important manufacturers of backpacks, luggage and other outdoor products. Unfortunately, this was not always the case. For a long time, the brand was considered a "department store brand" with rather inferior quality. The change was only brought about by the later managing director Bernd Kullmann, who began working as a representative at Deuter in 1986. His commitment, coupled with ambition, perseverance and the establishment of a competent product development team, ultimately led to the former "junk brand" making a 180-degree turnaround to become the leading German backpack manufacturer. Today, Deuter strives for long-term success that combines economics, ecology and social action. This is the only way to create the basis for a secure future.
